This weekend, regional Victoria is chock-a-block with festivals and installations that embrace the cold weather - so brave the icy winds and reap your arty reward!

1. A phantasmagoric fluorescent forest is growing in Ballarat. Lead Artist Timothy Shepheard & the crack team of artists Meka Audet, Zlatko Balazic, Eliza Jane Gilchrist & Stacey Wellman have imagined & animated a dreamscape that challenges the cold & dark of Ballarat’s winter.

2. Fun 4 Kids, a children’s festival full of kids’ entertainment and activities, is taking over Warrnambool!

3. The third installment of Port Fairy Winter Weekends will put a delicious chill in your bones this weekend, with a fantastic line-up of music, workshops and installations.

4. An immersive video art and sound installation by Stephanie Peters and Troy Rainbow is taking place at The Artery in Warrnambool. Unnamed Whaleboat explores local folklore and the mythology of the shipwreck coast.
