After more than five years in leadership roles with the organisation inspiring the arts across the state, Regional Arts Victoria farewells its Director of Projects, Esther Anatolitis, and wishes her all the very best for her new role.

“Working with Esther has been one of the most professionally rewarding experiences of my life,” said Joe Toohey, Regional Arts Victoria’s Executive Director and CEO. “Like everyone at Regional Arts Victoria, I am sad that her time with us has come to an end, but thrilled about where she is heading next. I look forward to seeking one another’s counsel in her new role as Executive Director of NAVA.”

As Director from 2012 to early 2017, Esther led an invigoration of Regional Arts Victoria with an artistic framework focusing on Creative Communities, Creative Places and Creative Catalysts – the latter prioritising our membership as well as our advocacy voice. Alongside this, Esther has made vital contributions to regional, state and national advocacy for the arts.

As Director of Projects across the past six months, Esther has overseen exciting projects such as Small Town Transformations II and Artlands Victoria, as well as devising future projects and designing creative professional development programs for our team.

“Regional Arts Victoria is a vital, impactful and very special organisation with an esteemed history and a momentous future,” said Esther. “It’s been an honour to be a part of this phenomenal team – and to have worked so closely with so many extraordinary artists, community leaders and sector colleagues in championing regional arts. Regional Arts Victoria under Joe Toohey’s leadership is an amazing place which I will miss dearly.”

Esther’s last day at Regional Arts Victoria will be Thursday 5 October.
