Statewide Regional Arts Fund Information Sessions!
Do you have an exciting arts project based in a community in regional Victoria? If you are a Regional Victorian and the project starts after July 2012, a Regional Arts Fund grant could get your project off the ground.
Applications close on Tuesday 13 March for Round One 2012 Project Grants.
Regionally-based Victorian organisations and individuals can apply for Project Grants of up to $15,000 for projects involving professional artists that result in a public outcome in the community in which they are based. First-time or previously unsuccessful applicants can also apply for Toe in the Water grants of up to $5,000 for small cultural projects involving professional and regional artists.
Regional Arts Development Officers’ will be holding information sessions and one-on-one consultations with individuals and organisations interested in applying to Round One of the fund.
In the Central Highlands Region information sessions will be held at –
•Beaufort Resource Centre - Mon 13th Feb 2012 from 7-9pm
•Creswick Neigbourhood Centre - Wed 15th Feb 2012 from 7-9pm
In the Murrindindi Shire information sessions will be held at -
•Murrindindi Shire Council - Thurs 16 Feb from 5.00-6.30 pm
•Kinglake Rebuilding Advisory Centre and Community Facility - Friday 17 Feb from 12 noon - 1.30pm
In the Swan Hill Region information sessions will be held at –
•Swan Hill
•East Charlton Hotel - Mon 30th Jan from 6.45 - 8.30pm
•Mildura, LEAP Space, 39 Langtree Avenue - Thur 9th Feb from 6.30 - 8.30pm
•Mildura, LEAP Space, 39 Langtree Avenue - Fri 10thFeb from 9am - 1pm (individual consultations, appointment only)
•Cohuna
In the Gippsland Region information sessions will be held at –
•Phillip Island Visitor Information Centre - Thur 2nd Feb from 3 - 5pm (individual consultations, appointment only)
•Phillip Island Visitor Information Centre - Thur 2nd Feb from 6.30 - 8pm
•Mallacoota Mudbrick Pavilion - Mon 20th Feb.from 6.30 – 8pm.
•Orbost Exhibition Centre - Tues 21st Feb from 12 noon – 2pm (individual consultations, appointment only)
•Swifts Creek Community Centre - Tues 21st Feb from 6.30 – 8pm.
•Creekers Café, Swifts Creek - Wed 22nd Feb from 10am – 12 noon (individual consultations, appointment only)
In the South West Region information sessions will be held at –
•Moyne Shire Council, Princes St, Port Fairy - Tue 7th Feb from 11am - 1pm (session times at 20 minute intervals, appointment only)
•Julia St Creative Space, 19 Julia St, Portland - Wed 8th Feb from 11am - 1pm (session times at 20 minute intervals, appointment only)

The Regional Arts Fund was established to give all Australians in regional and remote areas better access to opportunities to practice and experience the arts. The Regional Arts Fund also aims to increase opportunities for isolated Indigenous and/or smaller regional communities.
The Regional Arts Fund supports the arts in regional, rural and remote Australia and is administered in Victoria by Regional Arts Victoria.
