Bushfire Recovery - Urgent request for help and donations
Art provides an immediate and creative way to express and deal with situations that are difficult to articulate. For children, it is especially important that they have access to creative means to express their feelings and come together around a fun and meaningful activity.
Julia Peddie is an artist from Narbethong who is developing arts projects in and around Marysville with the community. She is setting up a kids art group early April and is in urgent need of assistance. This is what they need for the event on 18 April:
- up to 50 small square canvases (30 x30 cm)
- lots of good acrylic paint - various colours and some
brushes
- crayons (oil pastels)
- cartridge paper (A4
- a few low tables for kids
- an annex/tent incase of rain
- story tellers/performers for kids or some interactive
games
