Nominations close soon for regional Victoria’s only arts awards
Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) is calling on all Victorians to help us acknowledge the unsung heroes of regional arts. Do you know someone who has gone well beyond reasonable expectations in delivering a great arts experience to those who live beyond the city limits?
"The RAVE Awards are an opportunity to recognise our cultural crusaders," said 2007 award recipient and former HotHouse Theatre Artistic Manager Charles Parkinson. Other previous award recipients include actress and singer Anne Phelan and John Bell of the Bell Shakespeare Company.
The 2009 Awards, to be announced at the RAV Symposium in Geelong on Saturday 3 October 2009, will offer for the first time a $1,000 cash award in the Youth Leadership category, thanks to generous support from the Deloitte Foundation. Other award categories include Contemporary Cultural Development, Arts and Business Partnership, Indigenous Arts, Arts Volunteering, Regional Touring.
Nominations close Friday 14 August 2009.
