Local and National Artist Residency Program
Applications for Marrickville Council’s Local and National Artist in Residency Program have opened.
For residencies proposed between January 2010 and December 2010

The aim of the Local and National Artist Residency Program is to contribute to the on-going development of Marrickville Council’s relationships with local, regional NSW and interstate artists and assisting local and national cultural collaborations. The program provides professional development opportunities for artists while promoting cultural understanding and development in communities. Applications from emerging and mid-career artists of all disciplines are welcomed.
Marrickville Council will provide a self-contained three-bedroom apartment located above the Petersham Town Hall in Crystal Street, Petersham (situated in the Inner West of Sydney) for up to one month. The accommodation is suitable for up to three artists.
In return for accommodation in the residency the artist will be expected to make a contribution to the cultural life of the Marrickville community.
