Mansfield Spring Arts Walk 2009 - Visual Arts Open Prize
The Spring Arts Walk will offer $1500 in prize money for the ‘Open' section of the Spring Arts Walk made up of a $1000 acquisitive prize and $500 peoples choice award.
Following on from eight successful past Spring Arts Walk events the Arts Council of Mansfield has decided to ‘up the ante' with the inclusion of a new category called Mansfield Visual Arts Open Prize to make a better proposition for artists entering work in the Spring Arts Walk. The new category is the equivalent to the previous years' Open Section which in the past has not had a prize attached.
Categories in the Spring Arts Walk include: Mansfield Visual Arts Open, Mansfield Spiritual Art Prize, Median to Rare Sculpture Exhibitions and Proactive Tax ‘Head Above Water' sculpture prize.
Running concurrently with these categories will be the ‘solo, joint & group' exhibitions where artists will present a body of work in café venues.
At present artists who would like to present an exhibition of this type are encouraged to put in an expression of interest.
