Welcome to Regional Arts Victoria’s August enewsletter.
Well, you’d be mistaken for thinking that Spring had finally sprung but, unfortunately, the weatherman says it ain’t so... However, we’ve got enough news here to last out the winter - why not bunker down with us and wait for the thaw!
One of the most exciting events on the horizon is our new statewide initiative Home is where the Hall is. This is going to be a fantastic celebration of halls across Victoria and will take place during the month of November. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a series of fun and fabulous events throughout the regions. Don’t forget, applications will close on 1 September – make sure you get yours in!
In other news, Regional Arts Victoria has also opened nominations for the 2011 RAVE awards. These biennial awards are awarded by RAV to showcase and reward the talented artists and volunteers who live in or tour through our regions.
We also have some fabulous tours on around the state including Get Back (see below) which just set off last weekend. Make sure you read the Q & A with Get Back star Melissa Langton to go in the draw for two free double passes!
Of course, there are more grants, opportunities, events, and tours below. We hope you enjoy this edition of the RAV enews.
Best wishes,
The RAV Team.
