The Hole Big Yarn - PROJECT UPDATE
1st April 2009
The Hole Big Yarn Panmure community art project is well under way with progress on many different interpretations of the local theme, 'the big hole' (an iconic Panmure location and swimming hole). Participants are busy making, and in a some cases "getting obsessed" with knitting and crocheting works to be placed in the landscape at 'the big hole' in Panmure.

The Hole Big Yarn: A Panmure Community Project

The Town
Pamnure is a small town in the Moyne Shire, 15 mins NE of Warrnambool in the south west of Victoria. This town is famous for a large, natural swimming hole and the community of Panmure have a long and personal relationship with this asset. In summer residents and visitors from all over use the hole as a swimming and meeting place to escape the heat. Locals call this place, 'the big hole' from which we take the name for our project, The Hole Big Yarn.
