Bright Sparks will be a day of exciting inspiration, intensive learning and rapid skills development for people who work, or aspire to work in the creative industries.


DUST - a regional theatre model

DUST by Hubcap productions 2008

The acclaimed theatre production by Donna Jackson's Hubcap Productions, Dust, will be co-produced and toured by Regional Arts Victoria in October.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

What makes this tour different from other shows is that Donna is working with creative communities in Geelong, Shepparton and Gippsland where local actors, dancers, choirs and technicians will be part of the show and include local stories about asbestos. A really terrific model for touring great shows with strong local participation.

These local groups will perform alongside professional actors, Jane Bayly


Arts in Times of Crisis: Regional Arts Victoria Symposium 2009

Regional Arts Victoria will be holding its State Symposium in Geelong in October 2009 on The Role of Arts in Times of Crisis with a focus on regional and rural Victoria, and developing partnerships between professionals in the fields of health and arts in an attempt to generate discussion on how they may work together in times of need.

The term 'crisis' can be invoked when communities are affected by a number of factors, changing climate, economy, loss of industry, changing population, or the challenge
