The award-winning Polyglot Puppet Theatre returns with one of its most popular and successful shows - Muckheap - funny, fast and fantastically messy. Junk is used to create characters out of everyday objects right in front of your eyes, displaying the awesome power of the puppeteer.
Muckheap is a tale of two people trying to clean out their shed for hard rubbish day. In the process they find everything that they thought was junk is too interesting, too useful or too sentimental to throw away. When memory and character intertwine, the audience is swept up with the junk into a fabulous storytelling frenzy.
This show invites children to become their own story makers and encourages imaginative play through whatever you have at hand. Muckheap has toured nationally and internationally for years to festivals, schools and theatres and finally returns home to Victoria to ensure that junk will never look the same.
