2012 All Hands on the Puppet (3 Hours)

All Hands On The Puppet is a workshop for students of all ages designed to provide the experience of making, creating and operating your very own puppet.
In this hands-on programme, students collaborate in building a puppet and, by employing techniques derived from Japanese Bunraku-style puppetry, learn how to operate it together.
Bunraku puppetry demands that puppeteers must listen carefully to each other, to become the one character with one intelligence and one breath - enabling students to harness collaboration, creativity and play.
In the final section of the workshop the puppets will interact and play with each other in short, improvised performances.
This workshop is also available in a 90 min format.
*Please note - if you are booking an On Call performance in regional Victoria, you may incur an additional travel fee.
