Education and Families is Regional Arts Victoria's program for children and young people. Each year we take a variety of arts experiences on the road across Victoria, from Mallacoota to Murrayville and Heywood to Corryong, reaching over 25,000 young people.

Our tours are AusVELS and VCE linked and include drama, music, dance, literature, visual arts and multimedia activities, and connect with curriculum areas such as Humanities, English and Civics & Citizenship. Furthermore, all our programs now come complete with a free set of teacher resources to further enrich your experience, and our subsidy program can provide a discount to help support a RAV event in your venue.
Education and Families provides young people across Victoria with the opportunity to experience, engage with and participate in high-quality live performing and visual arts. Current research highlights the positive impact of young people’s involvement in the arts including increased motivation, self-confidence and creative thinking, student engagement and improved school attendance. Our incursion program is an inspiring, contemporary, and educational way to promote the value of the arts to young people in your community.
The arts provide young people with authentic learning experiences that engage their minds, hearts and bodies.
Taken from the study, The Champions Of Change: The Impact of Arts on Learning.
The program is targeted at engaging young people aged five to 18, and features performing and visual arts companies - drama, dance, music, circus, visual arts, literature, and new media.
Performances and workshops can take place in schools, community halls, and performing arts centres, or feature in your festival or school holiday program.
For Victorian schools, RAV provides affordable and accessible arts experiences and offers a significant Subsidy Program offering up to 50% off performance fees.
