The arts provide young people with authentic learning experiences that engage their minds, hearts and bodies.
Taken from the study, The Champions Of Change: The Impact of Arts on Learning.
For 40 years, Regional Arts Victoria has been touring the very best of the arts to schools and community venues in metropolitan, regional and remote Victoria. Since the first arts2GO tour in 1969, over 3.5 million young people have experienced performances in locations from Walpeup to Cann River.
The outreach of arts2GO in Victoria is second to none, engaging:
- 30,000 students
- 300 schools
- 400 performances
The program is targeted at engaging young people aged five to 18, and features performing and visual arts companies - drama, dance, music, circus, visual arts, literature, and new media.
Performances and workshops can take place in schools, community halls, and performing arts centres, or feature in your festival or school holiday program.
For Victorian schools, arts2GO provides affordable and accessible arts experiences and offers a significant Subsidy Program offering up to 50% off the cost of a performance.
RAV thanks Alcoa of Australia for their continued support as Program Partner for arts2GO.
