We are getting ready to open our annual Member renewals in August 2023 and we are looking forward to welcoming members back for another year of great RAV member benefits including our heavily discounted insurance program.
RAV purchases a master policy for Association, Volunteer Workers and Liability insurances and includes Association and Volunteer Workers cover as part of organisation membership fees. We know from your feedback that this has been a very cost-effective option for our members, and we will continue to ensure this is the case.
Cost increases
In 2023 our membership and insurance costs will be increasing. However, we are still the most affordable comprehensive artists and arts organisation insurance in Victoria!
Individual membership fees will not increase, we know that it has been a tough time for artists with increased cost of living pressures. Individual Members insurance costs will increase by 11%.
Organisation Members will experience an increase of between 10-20% in membership and insurance fees, depending on your organisation’s gross annual income range. If you would like to know exact costs for your organisation before August, please reach out to us at [email protected].
All new insurance and membership fees will be applied to renewing and new members from 3 August. Our deadline for receiving applications and payments is 1 October, to guarantee insurance coverage from 31 October.
While we are proud to say that we still offer the most affordable insurance comprehensive program for regional creatives, you need to make sure you find the right option for you. New broker: What this means for Members
This year we are adding value by introducing a new Insurance Broker, GSA. GSA have been providing Insurance and Risk Management services for large private businesses and the not-for-profit sector for over 30 years. Recently they became part of the Steadfast Group, the largest general insurance broker and underwriting agency network in Australasia with fast-growing operations in Asia, UK and Europe.
This year all Members’ will enter their insurance details directly into GSA’s web platform. RAV will no longer receive insurance information or hold insurance documents. This will make it easier to keep your insurance information up to date and accessible, plus Members will receive improved customer service for insurance enquiries.
GSA are also happy to provide discounted quotes to RAV members for additional insurance requirements this year.
