Regional Arts Victoria is delighted to announce the successful recipients of our 2012 Creative Leadership Program!
This extremely competitive program will provide 12 regional entrants who have recently finished Year 12 with an immersive Professional Development experience that involves them in all aspects of creative arts management.
Regional Arts Victoria’s Creative Leadership Program is an innovative new program created for young regional Victorians who are considering arts management as a career. Run in Melbourne over 9 days in February 2012, the Creative Leadership Program will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the arts industry, and will enable them to create strong networks with a group of like-minded peers and arts industry professionals. Working with the highest calibre arts organisations in Melbourne, including The Arts Centre, MTC, Express Media, Malthouse Theatre and many more, the Creatlve Leadership Program will give participants an edge in forming their career plans and aspirations.
Regional Arts Victoria’s CEO Lindy Allen remarked that, ‘Professional Development in the arts for young people in regional areas is essential if we are to find and support tomorrow’s cultural leaders. We’re delighted that this program will provide comprehensive experience for young people interested in working in the arts, and hope that they will take these skills back to their communities, providing long-term investment in the future’.
