Eco-Cubby 2010 - applications now open
Ten schools and communities across Victoria have the chance to participate in the City of Melbourne and Regional Arts Victoria 2010 Eco-Cubby program.
Running across the school year, each school will work with a locally based architect in designing and building a 1:5 scale model of an Eco-Cubby suitable for their school or community environment. Models are then brought to Melbourne to be a part of the Sustainable Living Festival the following year.
The Eco-Cubby program has just completed a successful workshop period at the Royal Melbourne Show with more than 300 young people involved in the design, building and decorating of the 4m x 1m structure and garden. Images of the project at the Show are now available at the Eco-Cubby website, and the 2009 Eco-Cubby models will be displayed at ArtPlay (Birrarung Marr) from 9 January to 23 February 2010.
