$73,805 in Regional Arts Funding Announced for Victoria
The Minister for the Arts, the Hon Peter Garrett AM, has announced that funding for 8 projects totalling $73,805 will go to regional, rural and remote communities across Victoria through the Regional Arts Fund, an Australian Government program administered in Victoria by Regional Arts Victoria.
"This round was very competitive," newly-appointed Chair of Regional Arts Victoria Dennis Goldner said. "It is great to see a number of first time applicants applying to the Regional Arts Fund through the new ‘Toe in the Water' category. We are also pleased to see such a diverse range of projects including sculpture, theatre and dance."

The Regional Arts Fund was established to give all Australians in regional and remote areas better access to opportunities to practice and experience the arts.
